of his Majesty's Justices of the peace
for the said County
Who severally being upon Oath say and first
this Informant William Hinchlift for himself
saith that on Saturday the fifth Instant about
8 o'Clock in the Evening this Informant was coming
to Town in a one house Chaise
& between Battle
Bridge
& Tottenham Court
Tumpike he was stopped
by three persons one of them was remarkably shorter
then the other two and was Robbed of a Silver
Watch but saith that it was so Dark he is not
able to Swear to the Taies of other of thesaid
two persons now present and saith that when he went house
he told what had happened to him to the other
two Informants John Count< no role >
and John Stedman< no role >
who both went into the Chaise with an Intent
to apprehend the persons if they should be attacked

and John Stedman< no role >
for themselves jointly and
sperately say that on Saturday the fifth day of
September last between Eight and Nine in the Evening
the other informant William Hinchlift came home
in a one Horse chaise and Informed them that
he had been Robbed y three men of his Watch
and told them the place upon which they both
got into the Chaise intending to goe to the place the
to endeaver to apprehend the said these persons
in case they should be attacked and in their
way they called upon the other Informant John
plennis at Tottenham Court

on Horseback & the said Plennies went before
them and between Tottenham Court

these
Informants were attacked by three men one
of whom stopped the Charse House & the other
two came upto these Informants one on the one
side and the other on the other side of the said Chaise
