Majesty's Justices of the Peace
for the said County

Who severally being upon Oath say And first
this Informant for himself saith that his Master
Charles Sheppard< no role > having has had the Care of Mr Brodies
House recommended to himthis Informant
did about the 23d. of March last direct this Informt
to attend his Mistress to the said House that he
went with her accordingly that they went in together
and examined the same and found all the fastening
thereof safe and this Informant [..] that the
Drawers Chests & Clothes Presses were all
Safely Locked excepting One Chest after which
this Informant came out of the said House with
his Mistress when he double Locked the Street
Door thereof after him & delivered the Key to his
Mistress that about Eight or Ten Days after
this Informant returned again with his Mistress
to the said House in Order to see Whether all was
safe theirn and upon their going in to the One Pair
of Stairs Bed Chamber this Informant saw
a great Number of things scattered about the
Room & [..] theChests Deawer & Presses in the,
said Room [..] Broke Open this Informant
further Examined the fastenings of the said House
& found them all safe except that there appeared
to have been an Attempt upon the Door of the Fore
Area by wrenching of the same but that the
Bolt thereof on the inside remained stills slightly

And this Informant Henry Dixon< no role > for himself
saith that upon the 25th. of April last One
Pair of Streetsand One Table [..] now produced
were pledged with his Master by a Woman in the
