The Information of Humanitis Jackson< no role > , at the Corner of
Orchard Street, in the Parish of St Mary le bone, in the County of Middx ;
Bookseller , taken Upon Oath this 25th Day of January 1772 before me
One of this Majesty's Justices of the peace for the said County, City
and Liberty.

Who upon his Oath Saith, That last Tuesday Evening the
Twenty frist Instant January 1772, he had in his pockett Six
Guineas and five Shillings; and that during the Cause of the said
Evening he took out of that Sum three Shillings and Six pence; which
Sum he put into another of his Breeches Pockett; and he had then
remaining Six Guineas and Eighteen pence; That this Informant
passed the latter part of the Said Evening in Company with one John
Sandell
< no role > , and went home with the Said John Sandell< no role > to lay with him
at his the Said John's Father's House (as it was late) And that when
this Informant Humanitis Jackson and the said John Sandell< no role >
went to bed there together, this Informant then at that time had
in his Pocket the Said Six Guineas and Eighteen pence wrapped up in
one peice of thick paperAnd that in the Night (this Informant
being awake,) he heard the Said John Sandell get up out of Bed, and
put on his Shoes, and open the room Door, and godown Stairs; and
that John Sandell< no role > went down Stairs but once; (but got out of Bed
two, or Three times;) And that this Informants Breeches lay upon a
Hat Box in the Bed room at a distance from the Bed; And that No
other person but themselves lay in that room, And that this Informant
about Eight the Next morning got up, and dressed himself, and went
out, & had never Occasion to look at his Said Money (so wrapped in paper)
till he got to Fleet Street , where he took out his Said paper parcell
in which he had so wrapped up his Said Six Guineas and Eighteen pence,
And he found he had been robbed, of One Guineas, (part of the Said Sum,)
as there was but five Guineas and Eighteen pence remaining in the Said paper
And therefore this Informant upon his Oath positively and Expressly
charges the said John Sandell< no role > with having feloniously taken and
carried away the said one Guinea, (part of the Said Sum of Six Guineas
and Eighteen pence,) his Goods and property; And No other person
or Persons whomsoever.
