The Information of Elizabeth< no role > the
Wife of John Andrews< no role > taken before William
Timbrell
< no role > and John Cox< no role > & Esquires two of his
Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the
County of Middlesex who being upon
Oath sayethThat on Sunday the
Eighteenth Day of August last in the
Afternoon this Informant was at her Masters
House, at Battle Bridge in the Parish of St.
Pancrass in the Aforesaid County, whose Name
is Matthew James< no role > , a Butcher , and that
whilst this Informant was up in a Room
one Pair of Stairs, Putting on her Cloaths,
this Informant heard somebody call and
asked if the Butcher was at home whereupon
this Informant answerd, that he was not,
and said that she was comeing down
and further sayeth, that as soon as she
had so Answerd one Thomas Cooper< no role > , now
Present came up Stairs into the Room
where this Informant then was, and the
said Cooper immediately threw her upon
the Bed, pulld up her Pettycoats, and the
said Cooper had carnal Knowledge of her
Body against her will and Consent, and
this Informant further sayeth that she
Struggled and did all us her power & present
him and that the said Cooper hunderd
her from crying out by putting a Corner
of the Quilt into her Mouth, and that the
said Cooper held her Hands with one his
Hands and this Informant further sayeth
that her said Master was out and that there
was no other Person in the House except
herself when the said Cooper came these
