Saith That about half an hour after four in the Afternoon
last Tuesday he heard some Boys Say they had got
Mr. Clarke in a Pond at the Brick Fields
That Informant went there directly and staid about half
an hour before he saw the Deceased helpd' Out of the Pond
And about a Quarter of an hour after he was Out
That the Deceased was very much Disfigured with Blood
Saith he Saw a great Number of Brick Bats and Stones
Thrown at him many of them Hit his Head and Body
That the Deceased was naked to his Breeches
That he washd' the Blood off his Head with his Head
Saith he Served his Apprenticeship in Spitalfields And hath
Lived there end since But that he does not know One
Person that he saw throw at or any Otherwise ill use
the Deceased Believes it was about a Quarter after five
when Informant left the Pond and that Mr. Clarke was
not then Dead
