Saith the Deceased Drew Patterns for him
That last Tuesday over One o'Clock Informant was going
with Clarke to One Molshull who works for Informant
near half Nicholls Street in Order to Look at some Work
That going up half Nicholl Street Informant heard Two
Men Following "There goes Clarke" That Informant did
not then Look behind himThat immediately afterwards
the same Two Men Came up with themAnd One of them
(the Tallest of the Two who had a large Stone in his Hand)
Came up to Clarke and Swore at him and Called him a
a Blood Selling Rascal And threw the Stone at him
Believes he was within two or three Yards of Clarke when
he threwWhether it Fit him or not Informant cannot
TillSaith he then run away directly up Cock Lane
and Came thro' a little Alley into Shoreditch near the Turnpike
That Clarke run the Reverse way from Informant
and went to Mrs. Snees Informant Saw him at the
DoorThat before Informant went into Shoreditch he Turn'd back and Saw Clarke down and the said Two Men Kicking him and Beating him with their Hand Saith Clarke was then without his Hat and
WigThat the said Two Men and several Others
Pursued him up to Mrs. SneesSaith he went to Mr.
Clarkes Wife in Artillery Lane , Told her that her Husband
had been Attacked And Asked her if he had got his Pistols
That She said he had not the Pistols And Then Informant
Desired her to take them least he should be Attacked
againThat his Wife Ask'd Informant She should
take his Stick and Informant said no there was no
OccasionAnd Saith that Clarke did not himself mention
Any thing to Informant about the Pistols
