The Information and Confession of Mary Agan of the
Parish of Saint Bottolph Aldgate without in the County
of Middlesex Spinster taken and made before me one
of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the said County
this 31stday of October 177 1.

This Informant Maketh Oath and Saith that she has lately become
acquainted with Mary Sampson< no role > Mary Casey< no role > Deborah Jones< no role > and
Elizabeth Walker< no role > and that this Informant the said Mary Sampson< no role >
and Mary Casey< no role > on Friday Night last about Seven or Eight of the Clock
were at the Beehive a Public House in Nightingale Lane East
Smithfield that the said Mary Sampson< no role > then and there proposed to and
procured the said Mary Casey< no role > and this Informant to rob the Room of
one Isabella Lawson< no role > in a House let out in parcels, near Salt Petre
Bank and in order to assist them therein gave the said Mary Casey< no role >
a Key wherewith she was to open the Door of the said Room that
the said Mary Casey< no role > and this said Informant accordingly went to
the said House and that the said Mary Casey< no role > endeavoured to open
the door of the said Room with such Key which finding it would
not do she came to the Window Shutter to see how that was secured
and finding it only fastened with a Nail on the Outside she directly
wrenched the Shutter open then opened the Casement whichwas
was fastened with a String on the Inside and the said Mary Casey< no role >
went into the room thereat and took from off a Bed there one pace of
Sheets which she gave this Informant as she stood on the Outside
that the said Mary Casey< no role > came out again and they two went to
the Door of a Room belonging to the said Mary Sampson< no role > situate
in Red Cross Street East Smithfield where he the said Mary
Casey
< no role > left this Informant for a short space of time when she
returned in company with the said Mary Sampson< no role > who having
unlocked the Door of the last mentioned Room they Three went in
and there the said Mary Sampson< no role > picked a Mark G out of
the said Sheets and then sent this Informant to pawn one of them
which she did with one Isaac Smith< no role > pawnbroker in Ratcliffe
Highway for Two Shillings and the said Mary Sampson< no role >
pawned the other for the like money withMorris a
pawnbroker in Well close Square that the four Shillings was
divided between this Informant Mary Sampson< no role > Mary Casey< no role >
and the aforesaid Deborah Jones< no role > and that the said Mary
Sampson
< no role > well knew the aforesaid Sheet all by her pawned as
aforesaid
