Tho Information of William Wright< no role > taken before me one
of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for the and
County of Middlesex the 2d. Day of August in the year of
of our Lord 1770

This Informant upon his Oath Saith that on Monday [..] Evening last
the (30th: day of July last) between the hours of Eleven and Twelve being
at place called Salt Petre Bank in the Parish of St. Mary White Chapel
in the said County he was met by two Men one of whom is now personally
present and Saith his Name is James Simpson< no role > and the other being also
personally present and saith his Name is Joseph Joseph Saith that
the said James Simpson< no role > and Joseph Joseph Violently Seized him by
he Cholar and Clapped something to his breast and one of them the
said James Simpson< no role > or Joseph Joseph said Dam him fire at him
directly and immediately the said James Simpson< no role > and Joseph Joseph
began to rifle his Pockets and took from and out of his Breeches
Pocket four Guineas in Gold and one Shillings in Silver Saith that
he made some resistance but that the said two Men Simpson and
Joseph over powered him and throw hid down and then Stripd.
or pulled of his Coat Waistcoat and hat, saith that then the
said two Men Simpson and Joseph said to the other is your Pistol
Charged or Charges your Pistol saith that he then begged the
said two Men Simpson and Joseph to save his Life and taken
all, and immediately one of them said to this Informant run
for your Life or, Ill blow your Brain out and accordingly
this Informant run away
