The Information of Daniel Wheeler< no role > taken
before me this 12th. day of March 1770

Who being upon Oath says that as he was going with the Mail towards
Islington in a Cart yesterday Morning about 3 o'Clock from the General
Post Office he was stopped near the Sign of the Shepherd and Shepherdess
on the City Road by a Single Man dressed in a brown great Coat and
as he believes in a black one under it a flapt hat rather tall and
well made who presented a Pistol to him bed him stand got up into the
Cart and took out one of the Mails called the Bye Chester Mail, says
the said person told this Informant that he only wanted a Letter
to a young [..] Woman which he had asked for but they would
not give him and said he would return the rest to his Master in a
Hackney Coach, says that Said Man told this Informant that his
Master lived in St. John Street & had a Mole on his Chin
