The Information of Edward Rhees< no role > taken
before me this 20th.. day of Decr.. 1768

Who being upon says that he knows John Burrow< no role > belonging
to the First Regt. of Foot Guards now in the Tower says that about two
Months since he and said Burrow Robbed a Man with a Fish Basket
inabout 8 or nine at Night of half a Crown and some other Silver near the Chelsea Waterworks says
that about a fortnight ago he and said Burrows Robbed a Person in the
Green Dark of a Silver Watch a Guinea and some Silver which Watch
said Burrow afterwards wore himself says that about two Months
since he and said Burrow Robbed a Man on foot after 10 o' Clock at
Night of a Guinea and some Silver, near the Lock says about a fortnight since
at about 8 o' Clock at Night they Robbed another Man in the green
Park of six or seven Shillings says that in coming from Peckham Fair
he and said Burrow Robbed a Man on foot near Peckham of about
two pounds in Money amongst which was a light 13:6 piece says that
Corporal Crookshanks of Burrow's Company had always share of what
Money they Robbed for and was privy to all their Robberies, that he used
to givehisBurrow leave to go out to Rob & for bear reporting him absent
says another Corporal used to lend him his blue Coat by way of disguize
to Rob and reced. Money for the lent of it four or five Shillings at
a time & sometimes less, says they gave the above thirteen Shilling and
Six penny piece to get exchanged to Crookshanks and that he was to have half of it but
that he cou'd not get it off that he offered to Sell it at a Silversmith in the
Minories says he himself afterwards Sold it at another Silversmith in
the Minories for Eleven Shillings Says that said Burrow has also
Robbed several Shops about Ragg Fair and Stole one pair of Breeches and some
Gloves that the tall Corporal belonging to the same Company with Burrow
received and wears the Breechesthemthat Burrow Sold some of the Gloves to the Soldiers
sayssayssaid Burrow told him that he and True the Soldier had Committed
several Footpad Robberies towards Highgate and that Burrow farther
said that he had got three Watches in Pawn which he had taken upon the
Highway, says he also told him that which he was absent as a
Deserter
