The Information of John Lishman< no role >
taken before me this 23rd. day of
August 1768

Who being upon Oath says that about o'Clock on
Sunday Morning last a Woman now present who calls herself Elizabeth Cheeseman< no role > went to Bed
with him at his Lodging in Bird Street, that in less than
an hour the said Elizabeth got up and went away, immediatly
after which he this Informant missed ten Shillings which
he had in his Breeches Pocket after that the Said Elizabeth
came into his Room wrapped up in a piece of Paper, that on
Sunday Night he this Informant met with the Same Woman
at the King's Arms in Duke Street Grosvenor Square &
charged her with the Watch, that she was carried to the Round hours
where she denied having any Money that on searching her
there was found concealed in her hair four Shillings wrapped
up in a piece of Paper now produced, and this Informant further
says that he does verily believe the paper now produced to be the
same Paper that his Money was wrapped in as above mention'd
& that the Said Elizabeth Cheeseman< no role > did feloniously take
and carry away ten Shillings out of his Pocket as aforesaid
no other Person having been in his Room from the Time
he knows he had the Said Money in his Pocket until the time
he missed it
