which these Deponents inConsequence of some Inquirys
they have made do severallybelieve to be true And these
Deponents Hicklin and Thompson severally Say that whilst they were with her two
Persons came and inquired for her who spake with her in another Room and she
told these Deponents that they were Persons sent on the behalf of Samuel Wilson< no role > or
words to that effect but assured these Deponents in the Strongest Terms that she
would not absent herself but he ready to give all the Information she could But
these Deponents Dibbs Hicklin Thompson and Brockhurst severally say that she
did not attend at the Public Office and that notwithstanding they have used their
best endeavours for that purpose they have not been able to see or get Access to the
said Barbara Wilson since the said second day of April nor have heard or can learn
where she is And this Deponent Sarah Barnes< no role > Saith that she is very intimate
with the said Barbara Wilson who lodged with this Deponent for about ten weeks
before her going away as after mentioned and who before her Lodging with her did
for several months come absent every Day to this Deponents House and Saith that
on or about the first day of this instant April she the said Barbara Wilson told
this Deponent that one of the Gentlemen belonging to Samuel Wilsons< no role > Estate had
sent to her and she was to go to him and said she would say all she knew and
tell the truth but should be unwilling to touch his Life though she sayed if she
appeared against him she should certainly hang him And this Deponent Barnes
Saith that on Saturday Night the second Instant the said Barbara Wilson told
this Deponent Barnes that some body had applied to her from Samuel Wilson< no role > and
cried very much and said only think of these Wretches applying to me now they
know his life is at stake And this Deponent Barnes further Saith that the
next Morning Vizt. Sunday the third Instant about eight o'Clock the said Barbara
Wilson left her Room and went to the House of Mr. Richard Curtis< no role > where she believes
she staid all the Morning in which House this Deponent Barnes saw he about ten
o'Clock of that Day crying and a Man with her whom this Deponent doth not know
And this Deponent Barnes saith that said Barbara Wilson came back to this
Deponents House about two o'Clock in the afternoon of the same day and put on
some wearing apparel which she brought in with her that she cried very much and
took her leave of this Deponent Barnes who asked he whose she was going
to which the said Barbara Wilson replied she did not know but was afraid she
should never see her again and upon this Deponent Barnes desiring to hear from
he the said Barbara Wilson replied depend upon it if possible I will send you a
letter to morrow and then went away and this Deponent Barnes Saith that she
hath never seen or heard from the said Barbara Wilson since but is convinced
from the great Intimacy betwixt them that if the said Barbara Wilson was free
and at her Liberty she would have come or sent to this Deponent and verily
believes the said Barbara Wilson is kept in private by the agent of the said
Samuel Wilson< no role > And this Deponent Richard Curtis< no role > Saith that he very well
