to Mr. Spires of Clare Street Clare market in the Parish of Saint
Clement Danes< no role > in the County of Middlesex Pawn broker Also
of Christopher Wallis< no role > Apprentice to Mr Frear's of Wych Street or
the Parish and County aforesaid Pawnbroker-And lastly of Joseph
Wassell
< no role > Shopman to Mr Brook's of the Strand in the County aforesaid
Pawnbroker Taken before me John Spinnage< no role > Esquires one of his
Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the said County's City and Liberty
Who being Severally Sworn upon their Corporate Oath say, and First
the said Thomas Nash< no role > for himself Saith, that on the Seventeenth day
of December last past a Woman now present who calls herself Margaret
Watt's came to this Informants Master's house and there Personaly pawned with
this Informant one Blue Tissue Silk Gown (now Produced) in the name of Mrs Pearl
on which she borrowed the Sum of Two Guinea's and half
And this informant Christopher Wallis< no role > for himself Saith That on the
Eighteenth day of January last past a Woman now present who Calls
herself Margaret Watts< no role > came to this Informants Master's house and
there Personaly pawned with this Informant, One Sack Gown and Petticoat Gown
made of Silk (now produced) in the names of Mrs. Pearl on which she
borrowed the Sum of One Pound and Sixteen Shillings, and also on the
same day she the said Margaret Watts< no role > pawned with this Informant
in the names of Mrs. Pearl One Striped Lutestring Silk Gown and
Petticoat now produced on which She borrowed the Sum of Three Pounds
thirteen Shillings and Six penceAnd lastly the said Joseph
Wassell
< no role > for himself Saith, That on the Nineteenth day of January
[..] last past a Woman now present who Calls herself
Margaret Watts< no role > , came to this Informants Master's house and there
Pawned with this Informants Master in this Informants presence One
Black Bombateen Sack Gown and Petticoat (now produced) in the name
of Mrs. Pearl on which he borrowed the Sum of One Guinea also
on the Twenty third day of March last past she the said Margaret
Watt's did by the same name of Mrs. Pearl [..] Pawn with this informant
One Black Silk Gown and Petticoat (now produced) on which she borrowed
the Sum of three Guineas Also on the Twenty Eighth day of same
month of March in the year aforesaid she the said Margaret Watts< no role >
did by the same name of Mrs. Pearl and in the manner and form
aforesaid Pawn with this Informant, One Grey Silk Gown intermixt
with Gold flowers (now produced) on which she borrowed One Pound Eleven
Shillings and Six pence Als on the same day and year last mentioned
She the said Margaret Watts< no role > did by the same Name of Mrs Pearls and in
manner aforesaid Pawn with this Informant One Black Silk Gown and
Petticoat (now produced) on which she borrowed One Pound Eleven Shillings
and Six pence-All which above mentioned Gowns these Informt
