The Information of Elizabeth Beagl< no role > [..]
Single Woman and Thomas Page< no role > taken before me this 20th.
day of February 1768

Who being upon Oath severally say and first the said Elizabeth
for herself saith that on Tuesday last She came to Town from
[..] and being set down by the Coach in Piccadilly
She enquired for a Lodging and not gething one She [..]
down to Spring Garden Gate and standing Crying there and
Person now present who calls himself John Giles< no role > and who was a
Soldier upon Duty there came to her and asked her what She stood Crying
these for to White Shereplied that She wanted & Lodging that he then
bid her not be down hearted for he wou'd carry her to a Lodging then took
her to his Century Box and insisted on her putting down her Bundle
says he afterwards persuaded her to fetch him a Pint a Beer telling her
that he dared not go for it himself, but that as soon as eight o'Clock
[..] Street he wou'd take her to every Motherly Woman where She
might have a clean Bed, says the People [..]
the Beer She not having he Money which she returned and told says
Giles, says She then found her Bundle missing and talking Notice of that
and crying said Giles pretended that a Man had fetched it away when
Informt. had sent says that She remaining very uneasy Giles said of
She wou'd Stay til eight o'Clock he wou'd help her to the Bundle as
he shod. then he off Guard, says he went away for about half an
hour leaving Informant and his Fire Lock in the Century Box, says when
[..] had carried away his Arms and went away with some more Soldiers
[..] take and took her to another Century Box where her [..]
was but that Sheperceived her Bundle had he [..]
up the Bundle and led her into the Park amongst the Trees [..]
Bundle down and her upon it and then and there telling he, thereof
She Cryed out it shou'd he worse for her then and there feloniously
Ravished and Carnally knew her against her will Consent
that afterwards She saw him take an Apron out of her Bundle
and put it in his Pocket, that he then led her into a Street and gave
her the Slip says after this She met with a little boy who
