taken before me this 23d. day of Octr. 1765
Who being upon Oath severally say and first the said Edward
Martin< no role >
for himself saith that on Friday Night last as he was
informed and verily believes the Stables of Sir Chas. Argyle< no role >
at Richmond
aforesaid was broke open and that he this
Informant had Stolen these out one Surt out Coat, a Thickest
Frock and Paistcoat, one Scarlet Waistcoat, and a pair
of black Brickskin Breeches which Trock Waistcoat
is now in the Custody of the above Mr. Vigers, and this
Informant Thomes Polland for himself saith that
on Monday last about three o'Clock [..] a Person now
present who calls himself William Smithson< no role >
sold to this
Informant the aforesaid Thickset frock & Waistcoat for
four and Twenty Shillings, at which time said Smithson
said he was Servant
to one Mr. Ross Builder in Piccadilly
and said Martin for himself farther saith that the said
Wm. Smithson< no role >
has for some time been employed in the
Gardens of said Sir
Chas. Argyll< no role >
at Richmond
aforesaid.
