Sidneys Alley Jeweller taken
before me this 27th.. day of Decr
1764

Who being upon Oath says that a Person now present who calls
himself Joseph Bernard< no role > hath within eight or nine Months
past been frequently at this Informant's Shop and pretended
to buy plain Gold Rings but never bought any says that [..] several
times after he had so been in this Informant Shop he this
Informant missed a gold Ring and found a Metal one
placed in its stead, says that he has lost five in the whole and
verily believes that the sd. Bernard did feloniously take and
carry away the same because six Metal Rings hath been found
upon the Person of sd. Bernard which are of the same Kind
[..] of those left at this Informant's Shop as aforesaid says
that five Metal Rings have been left in the Room of the five he
had Stolen
