The Information of Elizabeth< no role > the Wife of
Richard Groom< no role > of Barwick Street St.
James's Habordasher , and Ann Willis< no role >
of Grays Inn Holborn Spinse taken
before me this 23d.. day of Octr. 1764

Who being upon Oath [..] severally say, and first the said Elizabeth
[..] for herself saith hath on the 10th.. of July last a Person
now present who calls herself Sarah Lane< no role > came to Lodge with
this Informant and contained a Lodger with her for about
Eleven weeks, says that in about three Weeks after She quitted her
Lodgings She this Informt. discovered that She had been Robbed
of divers goods, from the Information which She recd from
said Ann Willis< no role > says that a Quantity of Ribbans and Lace now
produced are her Property and were feloniously Stole went of her Shop
says that while said Lane Lodged with her She n [..] in this Informant's
absence to serve in her Shop and had therefore frequent
opportunitge to Rob it, And this Informt. Ann Willis< no role > for herself
saith that on her hearing the above Named Richd. Groom< no role > complain
of losing Lace, she produced and shewed to said Elizabeth groom< no role >
two pair of Gloves, two Ribbanse and the Lace of a Handkerchief
now produced which She owned and declared She had been Robbed
of the same, and farther says that said Lane made her presents of
said Gloves, Ribbans, and Lace
