desired him to bring his Pistols and a Tinder Box, says he came
accordingly about the time appointed when said Weskett s [..]
him up in his Room where he continued til the Family
were in Bed, says they then both went down into the Kitchen where
there was a Good Fire and Lighted their Candle when Weskett
proposed that this Informt.thatwhen they had Committed the
Robbery he shou'd go out of the Kitchen Window which he
objected to, that they then openeditthe Window and dirtied it
with their Shoes that it might have the appearance of his
going out there, says they then went up stairs together and in
a Room in the said House they broke open two Drawers in a
Bureau out of which Weskett took a Sum of Money several
Gold Snuff Boxes a Candle stick, an Ink Stand and other Things which he delivered to this
Informant, says they then came down stairs and that he went
out of the Street door, says that they opened but a few Drawers in
the Bureau because Weskett said he knew where the
Money was, says sd. Drawers were opened with a Chizel and
Gimblet which Chizel and Gimblet sd. Weskett procured
and that the Chizel was a bright one, says he carried away
the aforesaid Money and goods to the House of James
Cooper
< no role > in little Turnstile where he then lodged, says that said
Cooper saw him soon after he came in and that the next
Morning he shewed him the Money and goods, that he
told him from where they were taken, that they went
together afterwards and Buried sd. goods and Money in
the Cellar says that he paid out of said Money to said Weskett
50 Guineas at one time and 30 at another says that amongst
the goods taken from Lord Harrington's House were one
Bunk Bill for two and one of £30 says that in
July last he went to Chestor Fair in order to put off
said Bank Bills that there bought a large Quantity
of Linen and recd in exchange for said Bills
