Jane< no role > the Wife of Thomas Eldridge< no role > of Old Pye Street in the Parish of
Saint John the Evangelist in the County of Middlesex Pawn broker
maketh Oath and saith that own about the thirteenth day of February
last she this Deponent was bound over before Sir John Fielding< no role > Knight
to give Evidence against John Bridgewater< no role > for feloniously Stealing
a Cloak the property of one Grace the Wife of Nathaniel Birch< no role > And this
Deponent Saith that on Tuesday the Twenty third day of the said
Month of February last as she this Deponent was going there St. James [..]
Park in her way to Hicks Hall in Order to give Evidence against the
said John Bridgewater< no role > was there Informed by the Constable (who
an apprehended the said Jno. Bridgewater) that the prosecutrix Grace
Birch< no role > had removed her Lodgings and was not to be found And this
Deponent then Informed the said Constable that if he should see
the said Grace Birch that he would Inform her where she this Deponent
was gone to And then she this Deponent proceeded with all convenient
haste to Hick's Hall and got thither between Eleven and Twelve of
the Clock in the forenoon of that day and continued there until about
four in the Afternoon and during this Deponents stay there she made
diligent Inquiry after the said Grace Birch the Prosecutrix who did
not Appear to the Knowledge of this Deponent to prefer any Bill
of Indictment against the said John Bridgewater< no role > for the felony
aforesaid And this Deponent on her Oath further Saith that she
then was or at any time after ready to have given her Evidence
against the said John Bridgewater< no role > when called on by [..] the prosecutrix
