The Information of John
Hussey

7th. day of July 1764

Who being upon Oath says that he know Charles Smith< no role > & John
Hillier
< no role > now present and Mathew Larmer< no role > not yet taken,
says that he has for several days past, chiefly in the Evenings
been concerned with all the said three Persons in Picking Persons
Pockets of their HandKerchiefs all which Handkerchiefs of
they constantly Sold to John Puller< no role > in now present at his Shop
in Chick Lane near Holborn , and that the said Puller in never
asked them any Questions how they came by them, says
that on Wednesday Evening last in particular, he this Informant
said Smith and Hillier Pickh several Gentlemen's Pockets
in the Strand of their Handkerchiefs to the number of either twelve
or thirteen almongst which were two or three Silk ones and
the rest Linen in general very good ones, says that the same
Evening about half an hour after ten they all three, vizt. said
Smith Hillier and this Informant went to the Shop of said Puller in
in Chick Lane aforesaid and offered said Handkerchiefs for Sale
who bought them for [..] twelve Shillings without asking
any Questions, and as this Informant verily believes well
knowing them to have been Stolen, and farther says that the
Maid Servant of said Pullen (Mary Fross< no role > ) was present, on Wednesday Evening
last when said & Pullein bought the Handkerchiefs above
-mentioned and said twelve Shillings for them as aforesaid
