The Information of Thomas

of Dunstable taken before
me this 23d. July 1764

Who being upon Oath says that last Wednesday Night
about a Quarter before Eleven o Clock, at which time
he was Guarding the Nothing Fly or Stage Coach, the
said Coach was stopt, by two Highway men at the bottom
of Highgate Hill , one of which presented a Pistol and
demanded Money from the Passengers, that a Lady
in the Coach then flung her Pur [..] out to him but
that this Informant after bidding him keep off [..]
Fired at the Highway man who presented the Pistol
and shot him from off his Horse, and farther says
that said Highwayman much at the same time Fired
off his Pistol, and that his Accomplice then Rode
off towards Highgate , says he has since seen
a Person in New Prison who calls himself
Hamilton Ball< no role > whom he believes to be he Person
who stopt to the Coach and Fired a Pistol as aforesaid
he having acknowledge the same to him.
