Who being upon Oath Saith That the seventh of this instant December this
Informant Put into the Post Office
in Bloomsbury Market
a Letter Sealed up directed to
George Stuart Bourne< no role >
Esqr. at Odiham Hants
in which Letter was inclosed A
News Paper, An Account, And a Post bank bill of Twenty pounds No. 5044
Payable to the said George Stuart Bourne< no role >
and dated the 7th. of December 1756
And this Informant further saith that after this Informant had dropped the said Letter
into the Box this Informant called out to Grace Jeffryes< no role >
that keeps the Post Office
and
asked her if it was safe To which the said Jeffryes answered Yes Sir It is dropped in it
is Safe enough And this Informant further Saith that the said Mr. Bourne hath not
received the said Letter as this Informant verily beleives because the said Mr.
Bourne hath by several Letters acquainted this Informant that he hath not
received the same And this Informant further Saith that the Bank Post bill now
Produced to this Informant is the Same Bill abovementioned Which this Informant
can the better Identify on Account of the Indorsement on the back of the said bill
in Red ink Which Indorsement is all of this Informants hand Writing
