AN INQUISITION indented, taken for our Sovereign LORD the KING, at the House of
William Rainham< no role > the Sign of the Greyhound Hardon in the
Parish of Hardon in the County of
Middlesex , the Fourth Day of December in the Fortieth Year of the
Reign of our Sovereign LORD GEORGE the Third , by the Grace of GOD of Great-Britain, France
and Ireland, King, Defender of the Faith, and so forth, before George Hodgson< no role > Gent
one of the CORONERS of our said LORD the KING, for the said County, on View of the Body of
James Weston< no role > then and there lying dead, upon the Oath of
the several Persons whose Names are hereunder-written and Seals affixed, good and lawful
Men of the said County, duly chosen, and who being then and there duly Sworn and
charged to inquire, for our said LORD the KING, when, how, and by what Means, the said
James Weston< no role > came to his
Death, do, upon their Oath, say, That the said James Weston< no role > on the first Day of [..]
December in the Year aforesaid at the Parish and in the County aforesaid being near a
certain Wall there it so happened that he fell into the said Well
By Means whereof he was drowned in the Water therein contained
of which said Drowning he then and there died And so the
Jurors aforesaid do say that the said James Weston< no role > in Manner
and by the Means aforesaid accidentally came to his Death
and not otherwise
IN WITNESS whereof, as well the said CORONER asthe said John Marsh< no role >
the Foreman of the said Jurors, and the Rest of his said Fellows, have, to this Inquisition set
their Hands and Seals, the Day, Year, and Place first above-written.
