James Berridge< no role > ofChappel Street New Ormond
Street Carpenter . Master of the House in which
deceased lodged Upon his Oath Saith The deceased
hath lodged with. him 4 Months and was as he
hath heard a Captain in the Army. and his Wife
and a Woman Servant also. lodged with him
Saith that on Monday Morning a little before 8 o Cl.
heard Mrs. Martin & Maid scream out went into
the roan where deced lay. and Mrs. Martin
immediately ran to Deponent & held him screaming
saying her husband was dead. and the Maid
was also near & looking on the Bed Saw the
deceased laying thereon with his Throat Cut
but did not at that time observe what he had
done it with.about half an hour Afterwards.
A Surgeon came and Deponent went again into the
room where deceased lay. & Saw a Razor.
in both his hands ye handle in his right hand
and the blade in his left hand.

16th. The quinent of Light Dragoons Upon her Oath
Saith That Yesterday (Morning) being at Mr.
Berridges House) the heard a great Scream.
