Eagle Caswell< no role > of Hampstead Gentleman Upon his Oath
Saith. That on Wednesday the eighth instant he was at
the Cart and Horses on Hampstead Hill and observed
three Carts passing by close together and The Carter of the
first Cart was running on the off Side of his Horses.
the Trace of one of the Horses being broke or loose and
he still on the off Side and the Horses running irregular
and Deponent supposes by the Carters endeavouring to
replace the Trace and observed as they went past that the
two other Carters were in their Carts and Deponent
immediately observed to the Standers by that there
would he some mischief done as they went as so fast.
and as soon as he was informed of the Accident he went
out of The House and saw somebody assisting the
deceased who breathed hard and seemed insensible
but did not stay till he died. Saith he does not know
either of the Drivers but was informed that all the
Carts belonged to a Mr. Ashton.

Thomas Hayes< no role > of Hampstead Surgeon upon his
Oath Saith That his Assistant was went for when the
Accident happened. but the observed was dead before
he came And Saith that he this Deponent hath this
viewed the body of the deceased and observes that a
Wheel on some heavy Body has some over the Body of
the deceased beginning at the left lays and so on over the
Belly to theleftRight Shoulder which appears by the [..]
