Informations of Witnesses taken of the Dwelling House
of Robert Hanse< no role > the Sign of The Mitre
in the Parish of Saint Mary Islington in the County
of Middlesex on Fridaythe sixteenth day of
December 1785 . Before Edward Umfreville< no role > Esquire
one of his Majestys Coroners for the said County touching
the Death of a Man Unknown
then and there lying dead as follow.

Mary Wife of John Wright< no role > of Islington Labourer
on her Oath Saith That She was coming from
Cambray CambCannonbruy House. on Wednesday
the 14th instant and on crossing a Bridge own ye
New River Saw something in the Water and
said to a Mr. Ricketts who was crossing a
Field adjourning there was a Man in The Water
and immediately got a Farmers Rail withan
Nail at ye End & pulled thedeceasedBody
to her and observed it was the Body of a
Man who appeared to her to have flung himself
into the Water and drowned himself as his
Legs were lyed together
