An Inquisition indented taken for our Sovereign Lord the King at The Liberty of The Rolls
in the County of Middlesex , the Twenty third Day of Decr. in the 23d Year of the
Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the third , by the Grace of God of Great Britain, France and Ireland, KING, Defender of
the Faith, Etc. before Edward Umfreville< no role > one of the Coroner s of Our said Lord
the KING, for the said County, on view of the body of Amey Juer< no role >
then and there lying dead, upon the oath of Richard Jones< no role > Thomas
Bignall
< no role > , William Hunter< no role > , Joseph How< no role > , Henry Sidgier< no role > , Stephen Maulton< no role >
Robert Mason< no role > Hugh Clisdale< no role > John Parkis< no role > George Fryer< no role > John Williams< no role >
and James Parker< no role >
good and lawful Men of the said County duly chosen as by Law required, and who being then and there duly sworn
and charged to enquire for our said Lord the KING, when, how, and by what means the said Amey Juer< no role >
came to h er Death, Do upon their Oath say, That the John Skipper< no role > late of the
[..] him aforesaid in the County aforesaid Labourer on the Fourteenth Day of December
in the Year aforesaid at the Liberty and in the County aforesaid a certain Pistol of the
Value of One Shilling then and there charged with Gun Powder and a Leaden Bullet which
he the said John Skipper< no role > then and there had and held in his Hand then and there casually
by Misfortune and against his Will did then and there discharge and shoot off And that the said
Leaden Bullet so shot off and discharged as aforesaid her the said Amey Juer in and upon the Skull
did then and there strike and penetrate casually by Misfortune and against the will of him
the said John Skipper< no role > then and there giving unto the said Amey Juer< no role > one Mortal Wound in
and upon the said Skull of her the said Amey Juer< no role > Of which said Mortal wound she the said
Amey Juer< no role > from the said Fourteenth Day of December in the Year aforesaid Untill the Twenty
first Day of the same Month in the same Year at the Liberty aforesaid in the County aforesaid did
Languish and Languishing did Live On which said Twenty first Day of December in the year aforesaid
she the said Amey Juer at the Liberty aforesaid in the County aforesaid of the Mortal wound aforesaid did die
And so the Jurors aforesaid upon their Oath aforesaid Do say That the said John Skipper< no role > hath said
Ann Juer in Manner and by the Means aforesaid casually and by Misfortune and against the
will of him the said John Skipper< no role > did hill and Slay

In Witness whereof, as well as the said Coroner, as the said Richard Jones< no role > the Foreman of
the said Jurors on behalf of himself and the rest of his Fellows, in their presence, have to this Inquisition set their
Hands and Seals the Day and Year first abovementioned
