To Wit.

An Inquisition indented taken for our Sovereign Lord the King at of Saint Mary Le Strand
in the County of Middlesex , the eighth Day of April in the 22nd. Year of the
Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the third , by the Grace, of God of Great Britain, France and Ireland, KING, Defender of
the Faith, Etc. before Edward Umfreville< no role > Esquire one of the Coroners of Our said Lord
the KING, for the said County, on view of the body John Bromley< no role >
then and there lying dead, upon the oath of Richard Jones< no role > James Dunks< no role >
Abraham Monday< no role > Henry Proctor< no role > William Proctor< no role > William Nelson< no role > Blacket Bulmar Daniel
Golden John Rash< no role > Charles Rutherford< no role > James Smith< no role > and John Skinner< no role >

good and lawful Men of the said County duly chosen as by Law, required, and who being then and there duly sworn
and charged to enquire for our Lord the KING, when, how, and by what means the said John Bromley< no role >
came to his Death, Do upon their Oath say, That Henry Mc. Elroy< no role > late of the
parish and county aforesaid laborer on the fifth day of April in the year aforesaid with force
and arms at the parish aforesaid in the county aforesaid in and upon the said John Bromley< no role >
in the peace of God and of our said Lord the King then and there being feloniously did make
an assault and that the said Henry Mc. Elroy. with his right hand on the right side of the
belly or pit of the stomach of him the said John Bromley< no role > feloniously did hit and strikeby
By means whereof he the said Henry Mr. Elroy< no role > did then and there give unto him the said John
Bromley one mortal bruise in and upon the said right side or pit of the stomach of him the
said John Bromley< no role > of which he then and there instantly died And so the Jurors aforesaid upon
their oath aforesaid do say that the said Henry Mc. Elroy him the said John Bromley< no role > in the
manner and by the means aforesaid feloniously did [..] kill and slay against the peace of our
said Lord the King his Crown and Dignity
In Witness whereof, as well as the said Coroner, as the said Richard Jones< no role > the Foreman of
the said Jurors on behalf of himself and the rest of his Fellows, in their presence, have to this Inquisition set their
Hands and Seals the Day and Yeat first abovementioned
