Informations of Witnesses taken at the parish of Saint
Andrew Holborn in the Ward of
Harringdon without in London the 31st.
July 1797 on view of the body of Peter
Degoyer there lying dead

Frances Degoyer< no role > Widow of the deced late of London
Peruke maker maketh oath that last Saturday afternoonbetween the
hours of eleven and twelve in the morninga Womanwhen she when [..]
last never seen but once beforeshe does not know came to Dept. late Husbands house
and asked of Mr. Radcliffe< no role > was there, meaning a man who carried
things sometimes for Dept. Dept. told her that she did not know
anything of him, on which she sayed she could sit down. Dept
told her she should not, & the woman replied she could sit down
as long as she liked. Dept insisted on her going; that she got up
& went out on the door, and Dept look upthea Chairshe had
been sitting onand placed it in the door way & leaned on the
back it; the Woman then pulled Dept. cap off and struck her
on the head. That presently the decd came home & inquired
what was the matter, Dept told him. The Woman then took
the deceds hat and wig off and beat him about the face with
them, on which the deced layed hold of a Tea Kettle that had
some dirty water in it & desired her to go along or he would
throw the water over her, and he did throw some water
upon her. That the Dept took the Kettle from him; and went
backwards with it desiring the deced would get a Constable for the
Woman , and before Dept returned she was told her Husband
was killed
