An Inquisition Indented taken for our Sovereign Lord the King at the Parish
of Saint John within the Borough of Southwark in the County of Surrey on the
twenty seventh day of June in the thirty seventh year of the reign of our
Sovereign Lord George the third King of Great Britain and so forth before Thomas
Shelton< no role > Gentleman Coroner of our said Lord the King for the City of London and
Borough of Southwark on view of the body of Thomas Robinson< no role > now here lying
dead by the oath of John Nettelton< no role > Daniel Harris< no role > John Jones< no role > John Key< no role > David
Abbott Richard Lane< no role > Samuel Blake< no role > John Voison James Calway< no role > John Hogg< no role >
Stephen Buston< no role > William Sarnell< no role > Robert Green< no role > and John Burrows< no role > good and
lawful men of the Borough of Southwark aforesaid who being now here
duly chosen sworn and charged to inquire for our said Lord the King when
how and in what manner the said Thomas Robinson< no role > came to his death
say upon their oath that the said Thomas Robinson< no role > on the twentieth day of June
in the year aforesaid being in a certain boat then lying on the River of Thames there
situate It so happened that the said Thomas Robinson< no role > accidentally casually and by
misfortune fell from and out of the said boat into the said River and in and with
the Waters of the said River was then and there suffocated and drowned of which
said suffocation and drowning the said Thomas Robinson< no role > did then and there
dieAnd so the Jurors aforesaid upon their oath aforesaid do say that the said
Thomas Robinson< no role > in manner and by the means aforesaid accidentally casually
and by misfortune came to his death and not otherwise. In Witness whereof
as well the said Coroner as the said John Nettleton< no role > the foreman of the said Jurors
on behalf of himself and the rest of his fellows in their presence have to this
Inquisition set their hands and seals the day year and place first above written
