Depositions of Witnesses taken at London
that is to say, at the Parish of Saint Bennett
Pauls Wharf in the Ward of Castle Baynard< no role >
in London aforesaid this 17th: day of February
1797 on view of the body of John Dunn< no role > now here
lying Dead.

John Stone< no role > a Labourer lodging at No. 223 Upper Thames
Street London< no role > and Thomas Ridge< no role > a Private in the 1st. Regt. of
foot Guards and a lodger at No. 4 little Tothill Street was Westmr.
severally make Oath and say thataboutbetween 10 & 11
Yesterday Morning Dept. being at Work in a Barge dying at
Mr. Andersons Wharf upper Thames Street aforesaid they
discovered a body lying the the Water between the Barge and
the Wharfthat they got the deced out of the Water into the
Barge and washed & cleaned him that [..]
[..] the deced was a Private in the same Regt. with this Dept
Thomas Ridge< no role > and was to have worked with both Depts.
that MorningDept. John Stone< no role > saw the deced on Wednesday
Night last in the Acom publick house near Mr Andersons
Wharfthe deced was then a little intoxicated with Liquor
Dept. then parted with the deced who promised to meet Dept
Yesterday Morning in order to work together.
