that is to say at the parish of Saint Bartholomew
the Less in the Ward of Farringdon without
in London aforesaid this 2nd: day of December
1795 on view of the Body of Hugh Martin< no role >

Street Cripplegate London Paviour maketh Oath that he
hath known the deced about seven or eight Months That about
½ past six Yesterday Morning the Deced Dept. & another person
went to Mr Batemans Stables in Bunhill Row in the County
of Middlesex in order to pave the Stables that Mr. Bateman
is a Silver Smith and [..] has a flatting mill worked by
two Horses that the flatting Mill is on the Ground Floor
that Dept wentand the place Dept. and dept the deced were
directed to pave [..] is situated behind the [..] flatting Mills
that for the purpose of getting to the place they were obliged
to get in between the Horses while working the Mill and as they passed round that
to get through a Door way [..] to the place they were to pave that
Dept. got in between one of the Horses and a pole which
comes from the Mill and at same time desired the deced
to follow him that Dept. got out when he got opposite the Doorway and stood at the Door
leading to the Stables they were going to pave & while
standing there Dept. heard some one Groom Dept. stopt
the Horses that were going round with the Mill that
a light being brought by the person who looks of her she
HorsesDept. brought light andDept. & the Horsekeeper
looked after the deced that in a little time they found
the deced lying on his side upon the Ground in the trail
of the Horses Dept. moved the deced farther out and upon
examining the deced he was in sensible that habled at
the Nose & Month that Dept. assisted in bringing the
deced to St. Bartholomews Hospital that when the deced
was brought to the Hospital upon Examination the Surgeon
sayed the deceds Collar bone was broken that in a little time
after the deced was quite dead
