O'Clock on Sunday Night last Dept. being on Duty as a Watchman
on Galley Quay
in the Parish of Allhallows Barking
he heard
something fall very heavy upon a Light then lying alongside
Galley Quay that is was very dark at the time and one
Redford a Watchman then on the Quay said "Lord have Mercy
on Me that Man has walked off the Quay" thatDept

Yesterday Morning Dept. and another person in consequence
of some information they had reced went into a Boat opposite

to find the person they had heard had fallen overboard
the over Night that after Dept. had tried sevl. times without
effect the person who was with him took the Boat hook and
after trying with the Brothock two or three times he hooked
the deced by the Arm hauled him up to the Waters edge
& thengot him into thedragged him to the Shore were
he was slung by a Rope, got on shore from thence was
taken to the Bonehouse
of Allhallows Barking
where he
