Depositions of Witnesses taken at
London that is to say, at the Parish of
Saint Mary at Hill in the Ward of
Billingsgate in London aforesaid
this 22nd. day of November 1794 on view
of the Body of Philip Webb< no role > now here
lying dead

Thomas Hills< no role > a Servant to James Shoopshell< no role > Master
of the Smack called the Adventure of Milton in the
County of Kent now lying in Billingsgate Dock maketh
Oath that the deced Philip Webb< no role > belonged to the said Vessel
that Dept saw the deced between eight and Nine on
Thursday Evening last at the Green Lettice Public House
on Billingsgate Quay that he was drinking Beer in the Top
Room of the said House with one goe Wright a Porter
that he appeared very much intoxicatedDept left him
there & went to get his Supper at the Blue Anchor in
St Mary at Hill while Dept. was there he reced
information that Webb had fallen over board from
the said VesselDept. went to the Quay and then on
board the said Vesselthat Webb was lying on the Hatches
of a [..] Queen borough Vessel that lay alongside of
Dept. Vessel. that he was all over Mud and lay insensible
that he was taken into the Cabbin of Dept. Vessel and then
strippedthe deced after he was stripped appeared to
recover and sayed he would go to Bed he accordingly
got into Bed after he was in Bed he sayed he was very cold
Deptcontinued in the Cabbin the decedput a Jacket on him: Dept. then went
to Bed before [..] Dept went to sleep he heard the
