LondonDeposition of Witnesses taken at London
that is to say, at the parish of Saint Nicholas
Olave in the Ward of Queenhith in London
aforesaid this 27th day of August 1793
on view of the body of Thomas Onslow< no role > Smith
now here lying Dead.

William Clark< no role > a Foster an to the deced Thomas Onslow< no role > Smith
late of No. 22 Bread street Hill London maketh Oath that above
a quarter par eight Yesterday Morning Dept. went up to the deced
Room in order to call him up as usual-receiving no answer Dept.
went down Stairs a little while after Dept. went up again-Dept.
having knocked twice and received no answer pulled the Door
towards him and on looking in he saw the decedlyingon the Bed
and a swordstrenghin his Body and lying with his Body on the
Bed-Dept. immediately went down stairs and went and fetched
a Doctor Cairn cross who immediately came with Dept. that they went
up stairs to the deceds Room the Doctor examined the dected and found
hims be deadthat the sword was left in himthat the deced
has been very ill for a fortnight par previous to finding him
as above stated with a Cold and also with a Feverthat during
Ins illness he has been quite delirious as timesthat Dept.
left the deced after morning his Bed and putting him to Bed Yesterday
Morning about one OCockthat he had the Fever on him then but
talked very strangleyDept. thought he was a little better that Dept.
has been three swords which the deced had and were casually kept
in a Drawer in a Room adjoining to the one wherein the deced
slept.

Surgeon and Apothecary maketh Oath that he hath attended the
deced for about ten Days past that he was very ill with a Fever
that during that time the deced has often hathed in [..] tly
and complained very much of his Head and sayed his Brains was
ready to split in pieces which are the us seal Symtoms of Delersi [..]
that Dept. saw the deced between twelve and men to Day of
Sunday lad that his Cough appeared better but he was very absence
talked very in [..] sently and appeared to be very much Le anged
