An Inquisition indented taken for our Sovereign Lord the King at the parish of
Saint Olive within the Borough of Southwark in the County of Surry on she seventeenth
day of March in the thirty second Year of she reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third
[..] by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the
faith and so forth before Thomas Shelton< no role > Gentleman Coroner of our said Lord the King for
the City of London and Borough of Southwark on view of the Body of John Jones< no role > now
here lying deced by the Oath of Samuel Darnell< no role > , Benjamin Hort< no role > , Roger Lewis< no role > , John
Langhill, James Lee< no role > , John Thorley< no role > , Henry Woodbine< no role > Richard Serle< no role > , John Powell< no role > , David
Reddye, Robert Giddons< no role > , Joseph Jones< no role > and Edward Master good and lawful men of the
Borough of Southwark aforesaid in the said County of Surrey who being now here
duly chosen Sworn and Charged to Inquire for our said Lord the King when how and
in what manner the said John Jones< no role > came to his death say upon their Oath that the
said John Jones< no role > then lately before accidentally casually and by misfortune fell into the
River Thomas< no role > and in and with the Waters of the said River was then lately before
suffocated and drowned of which said suffocation and drowning the said John Jones< no role > did
then lately before die And so the Jurors aforesaid upon their Oath aforesaid do say that the
said John Jones< no role > in manner and by the means aforesaid casually and by misfortune was
accidentally Drowned In Witness whereof as well the said Coroner as the said
Samuel Darnell< no role > the Foreman of the said Jurors on behalf of himself and the rest of
his Fellows in their presence have to this Inquisition set their hands and Seals the day
