An Inquisition indented taken for our Sovereign Lord the King at London
that is to say, at the parish of Allhallows Barking in the ward of Tower in London aforesaid
on the fifth day of may in the thirty second Year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord< no role > George the
third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the faith
and so forth Before Thomas Shelton< no role > Gentleman Coroner of our said Lord the King for the City
of London and Borough of Southwark on view of the Body of Joseph Brass now here lying
dead by the Oath of Joseph Shepherd< no role > , John Gray< no role > , Thomas Casson< no role > , Joseph Morrice< no role > , Joseph

Simon Richardson< no role > , John Ravenhill< no role > and Thomas Elliot< no role > good and lawful men of the City of
London aforesaid who being now here duty Chosen Sworn and charged to Inquire for our said
Lord the King when how and in what manner the said Joseph Brass< no role > came to his death
say upon their Oath that the said Joseph Brass on the third day of May in the Year aforesaid
Accidentally casually and by misfortune fell into the River Thames and in and with
the Waters of the said River was then and there suffocated and Drowned Of which said
suffocation and Drowning he the said Joseph Brass< no role > did then and there the And so
the Jurors aforesaid upon their Oath aforesaid do say that the said Joseph Brass in
manner and by the means aforesaid casually and by misfortune was accidentally
drowned In Witness whereof as well the said Coroner as the said Joseph Shepherd< no role >
the Foreman of the said Jurors on behalf of himself and the rest of his Fellows in their
presence have to this Inquisition set their hands and Seals the day Year and place first
above written
