Cow Keeper maketh
Oath that Dept. & the deced (who was also a Servant to said
Mr. Richardson) were employed onWednesdayTuesday
last in driving each a team of Horses drawing a Cart
loaded with Soil from London to Haydon Fields in the
County of Middlesex
that about ½ past two in the
afternoon of same day upon their arrival at Haydon Fields
the deced with his team turned off from the Road into the
Fields
being just before Dept. with his team that the
deced was on the near side of his Horses abroad of the
Middle horse drawing the Cart that the deced had hold
of the Chain of the Middle horse that the Horses instead
of turning off to the right to go into the Field turned short
round to the left and by that means the stick fixed in the
Chairs or trace
of the middle horse
hit against the deced
and forced him to the Ground and the near Wheel of
the Cart passed [..] over the hip and side of the deced
and also over his body that the Horses were stopped
and Dept. went and picked the deced up that he appeared
very much hurt and some blood came from his back
that he was speechless that soon after the deced was put
into a Cart to be taken to Saint Bartholomews Hospital
where Dept. saw the deced this afternoon lying dead
