Informations of Witnesses taken at
the parish of Saint Mary Cole in the Ward
of Cheap in London the 11th. day of Decer
1788 on view of the body of Robert Storey< no role >
there lying dead.

Catherine Jones< no role > Servant to Mr Charles Storey< no role > of
the Poultry No. 1 maketh oath that last Tuesday
night between 9 & 10 o'Clock Dept went up to the
three pair of Stairs Room to ask the deced if he wod have any
Supper that it was dark & no Candle & Dept in feeling about
put her hand on the deced head & being sound alarmed came
down & perceived her hand was bloodya Surgeon was
immedy. sent for, but the deced wad dead as Dept was informed
-dept says that for about these Six Weeks past the deced
has been very melancholy & low. Dept says she had seen the
deced a short time before & asked him if he wo'd have any
supper & he answered no not yet & seemed hurried

Thomas Ashfield< no role > of the old Jewry Surgeon
maketh oath that

James Shepherd< no role > of King Street Golden Square
Gentleman maketh oath that he used frequently to visit the
deceds father. Says the deced for there last 6 Weeks has appd.
much reserved, more come directly than usual; often when he was
[..] to he did not readily answer, & his mead seemed to
dwell on some particular object [..] That for there 6 Weeks past or
thereabout his behaviour has been much altered & he has been
much lost is thought.
