An Inquisition indented taken for our Sovereign Lord the King at London, that is to say, at the Parish
of Saint Mary Cole in the Ward of Cheap in London aforesaid on the eleventh day of December in the twenty ninth year of the reign of our Sovereign
Lord George the third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the faith Etc. before Thomas Shelton< no role > Gentleman Coroner
of our said Lord the King for the City of London and Borough of Southwark on view of the Body of Robert Storey< no role > now here lying dead by the oath
of John Burford< no role > Charles Loste, Samuel Cannadine< no role > , Benjamin Beale< no role > Evans, James Searle< no role > , Joseph Hanmore< no role > , Samuel Clear< no role > , Ebenezer Bourn< no role > ,
William Smith< no role > , Isaac Worley< no role > , George Lewis< no role > , William Ellis< no role > , George Farrington< no role > , John Gramont and John Breckway good and lawful men of the
City of London aforesaid who being now here duly chosen sworn and charged to inquire for our said Lord the King when how and in what manner
the said Robert Storey< no role > came to his death say upon their oath that the said Robert Storey< no role > not being of sound mind memory and
understanding but lunatic and distracted on the ninth day of December in the year aforesaid at the parish and Ward aforesaid in London
aforesaid a certain Pistol of the value of twelve Pence loaded with Gunpowder and a leaden Bullett which he the said Robert Storey< no role >
in his right hand then and there had and held to at and against the head of him the said Robert Storey< no role > did then and there shoot off and
discharge Giving to himself then and there with the leaden Bullet aforesaid to shot off and discharged from the said Pistol by force of the
Gunpowder aforesaid one mortal wound in and when the right Temple of him the said Robert Storey< no role > of the length of one Inch and of the
depth of three inches Of which said mortal wound he the said Robert Storey< no role > did then and there instantly die And so the Jurors aforesaid
upon their oath aforesaid do say that the said Robert Storey< no role > not being of sound mind memory and understanding but lunatic and distracted
in manner and by the means aforesaid did shoot and kill himself. In Witness whereof as well the said Coroner as the said John Barford< no role >
the Foreman of the said Jurors on behalf of himself and the rest of his Fellows in their presence have to this Inquisition set their hands and seals
the day year and place first abovewritten.
