Mr Edwd: West chose
Collector for ye. Poor, but
admitted to Fine for all
Parish offices. on paying ye.
usual Fine of £15. x

Then Mr Edward West< no role > was putt up to Serve the Office
of Collector for the Poor for the Year Ensuing & chose, but he
desiring to be admitted to Fine for all Parishe Offices It was
Ordered accordingly he paying the usual Fine of Fifteen
Pounds

Mr. Saml. Littlebury< no role > &
Mr Wm. Barber Chose
Collectors for the Poor.

Then Mr. Samuel Littlebury< no role > & Mr William Barber< no role > were
severally putt up to Serve the Offices of Collectors for ye. Poor
in the Room of Mr Carpenter & Edward West< no role > & were
chose Accordingly.

An order of Vestry Dated
28 September 1730 Read

Ordered that an Order of Vestry of the 28th. Septemb. 1730
relating to the Choice of a Sexton or Sextoness annually in,
Easter Week be now Read, & it was read accordingly

Mr. Susan Woods chose
Sextoness.

Then Mrs. Susan Woods< no role > was putt up for Sextoness, for
the Year Ensuing and Chose

Mr Church Warden Sanders
acquainted the Vestry that the
Skinners Company Etc. had lately
Concerned a Suit agt. ye. present
Church Wardens. and therefore
moved that they might be
impowered to defend ye. Same
at the Parish Charge so far
as it concerned ye. Parish
Ordered that ye prsent C: Wardens
& their Successors be Impowered
accordingly

Afterwards Mr Church Warden Sanders acquainted
the Vestry that the Skinners Company & one Nash had
lately commenced a Suit against the Prsent C: Wardens
and other Gent. of this Parish to Discover (amongst other
Things) whether any Ground was Sold to the Parish or Viccar
or any in Trust for them after the Great Fire in 1666 upon,
part of which Ground they Charge was an Antient way or
Passage, & whereon part of the House now belonging to the
Parson on Viccar of this Parish is built, And thereupon
Mr Sanders moved that this Vestry would Impower
them to Defend the said Suit at the Parish Charge so farr
as it concerned the Parish And after taking the
Affair into Consideration this Vestry Ordered that the
prsent Church Wardens & their Successors be impowered
to defend the said Suit at the Parish Charge so farr as it
Concerned the said Parish, They Reporting the
Proceedings thereon from time to time to the Vestry.
