Examined the Prisons & found them clean

Men & boys 20 of whom
18 were picking
1 knotting
1 Cutting

Women19 all picking except one who is cleaning

William Hooper< no role > coming in while we were surveying the
prison with [..] an amputate limb, being a discharged Seaman , was
ordered to have a chair & be placed in the apartment with the
lottery prisoners
