A Warning

To the Inhabitants of the Parish of Saint Botolph
without Aldgate London

Whereas very great Inconveniencies have arisen and heavy
Expences incurred to the said Parish by reason of Persons
renting a Number of Houses and letting them out to Lodgers
without any regard to the Consequences of them and their Families
becoming furthersome to the industrious Inhabitants of the
said Parish And Whereas such Practices have in Defiance
of Law been committed by the Landlords of Tenements who
regardless of Prosecution have by so doing occasioned an
intolerable Charge to the Parish This is therefore to give
Notice that the Churchwardens of the said Parish alarmed
at the increased Expence by the additional Number of
Paupers introduced by such illegal Conduct have by the
Advice and Direction of a General Vestry come to a
Resolution to prosecute without Respect to Persons the
Landlord or Agent of any House or Tenement who shall
directly or indirectly bring any Burthen or charge upon
the Inhabitants of the said Parish after this Notice

Mr. Poupard the Renter Churchwarden of Saint Botolph
without Aldgate Middlesex having some time since
received of William Quarrill< no role > Esquire Treasurer of Sir
John Fenners Charity one Years Share on Proportion of the
Parish of the said Charity which it was conceived was wrongly
received by him having always hitherto been received by
the Upper Churchwarden of the Parish of Aldgate London
and one Moiety thereof either in Money or Bibles sent to
the Churchwardens of the Lordship Past-But in looking
into the said Sir John Fenner< no role > 's Will it appears that the
Charity was meant and intended to be equally divided
between the said two Parishes and no Mention made that
