Hicks
< no role > deced maketh oath that She Cannot give any
Account respecting the Settlement of her late husbands
Parents deced or either of them Save that She has
been informed & which She believes to be true that
her said husbands Father Rented a house heretofore
at Little Stone Stairs in the Hamlet of Ratcliffe in
the Parish of St Dunstan Stepney in the Sd County
but what Rent or Taxes was Paid for the same
She Can't Set forth That She this Deponent has also
been informed by her said husband & by his Godmother
that her said husband was born at Stone Stairs
aforesaid & which Information She believes to be
true That to this Deponents knowledge information
or belief her Said husband never was bound an
Apprentice nor ever lived as a hired Servant for
a year nor ever rented a house or Lodging of the
Yearly rent of Ten Pounds nor ever Served any
Parish office nor ever Paid any Poors Rates or
Kings Taxes nor ever did any Act to gain a Settlemt
in his own right That She was lawfully married to
her said husband and has not Since his death been
married or lived as a hired Servant for a year or
done any Act to gain a Settlement in her own right
