Sarah Oldis< no role > the widow of Thomas Oldis< no role >
deced maketh oath that her sd late husband is lately dead
as She has been informed & believes That her sd husband
has informed her & which She believes to be true that he
was heretofore duly bound to & Served his Apprenticeship
with Richard Betsworth< no role > a Waterman in Maudlins Rents
in the Parish of St Botolph witht Aldgate in the sd County
& to her knowledge or belief hath not Since done any Act
to gain a subsequent Settlement That about three Years
& half ago her said late husband was Pressed on board his
Majesties Ship the Inno Frigate & has ever Since Continued
at Sea to the time of his death as she this Deponent Verily
believes She this Depont not having Seen him nor has he
had any Access to her Person for near the Space of two
Years now last past That She this Deponent was delivered
of a Male Child on the Seventh day of June last in the
Work house belonging to the Parish of St George Hanover
Square in the sd County Since baptized & registred there
by the name John Oldis< no role > And that one John Eustace< no role >
of the Said Parish of St George Hanover Square
Coach Carver is the Father of the Said Child Which
is illegitimate & a Bastard by reason that she this
Depont was never Married to the sd Eustace & lastly this
Depont Saith that this Examination is Voluntary
