Elizabeth Bryant< no role > Singlewoman
maketh oath That her late Father Joseph Bryant< no role >
deced in his life time rented a house in the Parish of
St Paul Deptford in the County of Kent & was
Charged to & paid Poors Rates for the Same & also
Served his Apprenticeship in the Same Parish & did
not afterwards do any Act to gain a Settlement
elsewhere That she this Deponent was born in the
Parish of St. Paul Deptford aforesd & never lived as
a hired Servant for the Space of a year Save in the
Middle Temple Lane in the Temple London where
this Deponent lived with one Mr Jones Stationer
for the Space of a year & upwards That she this Depont
was never Married nor hath She done any act to gain
a Settlement for herself Except as aforesaid That She
this Deponent hath a Child named James Bryant< no role >
aged about Ten Years which Child was born in the
Lying Inn Hospital in the Parish of Saint Mary
Lambeth in Surry and is illegitimate & a Bastard
& has done no Act to gain a Settlement for himself


Sworn this 30. day of
May 1780 before.
