Elizabeth Powell< no role > the widow of
James Powell< no role > deced maketh oath That her sd.
late husband in his life time rented a house of the
yearly Rent of Twelve Pounds in Virginia Street
in the Parish of St George in the Sd County & lived
in the Same for the Space of a year & was charged
to and Paid Poors Rates & Kings Taxes for the same
& did not afterwards Rent a house of Ten Pounds
a year or upwards or Serve any Parish office or
Pay any Poors Rates or Kings Taxes or do any
Act to gain a Subsequent Settlement Nor hath
She this Deponent Since his death done any Act to
gain a Settlement for herself That She hath four
Children namely James < no role > aged about twelve years
Elizabeth < no role > Aged about Eleven years Anna < no role > aged
about Ten Years & Charlotte < no role > aged about five
years the lawful Issue of this Deponent by her
Sd late husband to whom She was lawfully Married
which Said first mentioned ChildJames < no role > is now at
Sea & has gained a Settlement for himself and which
Said three last mentioned Children are now resident
with this Deponents Father Mr Pound at Hannington
in the County of Wilts and as yet have done no Act
to gain a Settlement for themselves.
