Thomas Murphy< no role > maketh oath that Several
years ago he lived in & rented a house of Twelve pounds a
year in St Catherines Lane in the Parish of St Botolph
without Aldgate in the sd County & resided thereon for
many years & by means thereof gained a legal Settlement
there That he has not Since rented a house of Ten pounds
a year or upwards or Served any Parish office or paid any
Poors Rates or KingsTaxes or done any Act to gain another
Settlement & that he hath a Wife named Mary < no role > to whom he
was lawfully married in the Church belonging to thesd parish

Mary Coutanch< no role > the Widow of John Coutanch< no role >
deced maketh oath that her Father Robert Parsons < no role > many
years ago rented a house of Fourteen pounds a year in the
Parish of St Mary Magdalen Bermondsen in the County
of Surry & by means thereof gained a legal Settlement there
& during Such his Residence therein this Deponent lived with
him aspart of his Family That this Deponent afterwards married
her said late husband and about Twenty Six years ago he
rented a house in the Same Parish & was charged to and paid
Kings Taxes for the same & by means thereof gained a legal
Settlement there & did not afterwards do any Act to gain
another Settlement nor hath she this Deponent Since his
death done any Act to gain a Settlement in her own right
