John Welles< no role > a Singleman Maketh oath
That divers Years Ago he was hired and lived as a Yearly hired
Servant with one John Harris< no role > who then Kept the Flying Horse
Ale house in the Parish of St. John Hackney in the County
of Middlesex and Continued in Such Service for the space of
two Years and upwards there at the Yearly Wages of Four
Pounds and by means thereof gained a legal Settlement in
the said Parish That this Depont. hath not Since lived as a hired
Servant for a Year nor did he ever rent a house of the Yearly
Rent or Value of Ten Pounds or Serve any Parish office or
Pay any Poors Rates or Kings Taxes nor to his Knowledge
or belief hath he done any Act to gain a Settlement Subsequent to
his Servitude abovementioned


Sworn this 30 day
of March 1772 before
