Continued, Friday 30th. Novr. 1798 .

The Minutes of the Bethlem Committee of the 1st.
November last, were read and confirmed, whereby it appeared

That the Committee had contracted for Meat
for Six Months, at 3s..2d Per Stone.

And that the Committee had resolved that it shod.
be recommended to the next General Court, that a
Gratuity of £50. be paid to Mr. Peter Alavaine< no role > ,
Steward of this Hospital , as a Mark of the Governors
approbation of his conduct, and a reward for his
economy care, attention, and fidelity in the execute in
of that Office.

And had Ordered different Tradesman's and
Workmen's Bills to be paid, amounting to £1,218..16.

Land Tax Motion
for same to be redeemed
or purchased Carried
in the Affirmative.


At this Court a Motion was made and Seconded,
that the Land Tax, payable out of the different Farms
and Land, belonging to these Hospitals, be redeemed &
purchased under the direction of the House Committee,
and agreeably to their recommendation, it was carried
in the Affirmative.
